Kanye West

Kanye West stopped by TMZ to promote his upcoming album, LOVE EVERYONE, due out on June 1st. Kanye made some great points before making a statement about slavery that was taken out of context.

In a conversation with TMZ founder Harvey Levin and TMZ staffers on Tuesday, Kanye said he believes blacks and whites are one race: the human race.

He also called out hypocrite rappers who dropped Donald Trump’s name in their rap songs.

Then he said, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years… 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”

His comment angered a black TMZ staffer named Van, who took Kanye’s comment out of context.

What Kanye probably meant was, after 400 years of freedom, black people still make the choice to be mentally enslaved by the same political party that created the KKK and fought to keep us physically enslaved in America.

If it wasn’t for the Republican Party battling the Democrats, black people would still be slaves.
