Paris Jackson says her grandfather Joe Jackson did not tweet a sentimental message from his sickbed on Sunday, because he can’t update his Twitter account.
The 89-year-old Jackson family patriarch is losing his prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer, and is reportedly in the final stages of his life.
While Joe is on his sickbed in a Los Angeles hospital, a photo of him staring out at the ocean at sunset was uploaded on Sunday afternoon. Many of his Twitter followers took the image to be an indicator of his improving health status.
I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes. pic.twitter.com/PGcmbulzyC

However, his granddaughter Paris, the second child of his late son Michael Jackson, swears the message did not come from him.
“This is a beautiful tweet. though it upsets me to see whoever is in charge of this account taking advantage of it. my grandfather did not tweet this. i’m not sure if he’s ever used this account,” she tweeted on Monday.
When her Twitter followers pressed her for further details, Paris responded that there was “no possible way for him to have tweeted it” and she stated that she had been by his side all afternoon and evening.
Joe’s second youngest daughter, Janet Jackson, paid tribute to her ailing father during her acceptance speech at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards, where she received the Impact Award for her lifetime achievements.
“It’s beautiful, it’s humbling to be recognized as someone that has had a positive impact,” said Janet, 52. “But if I have been fortunate enough to impact others it is only because I, myself, have been greatly impacted by positive people in my life.”
