Singer Keyshia Cole has apologized for trolling her faithful fans by claiming she was pregnant. The 36-year-old mom-of-one took to Instagram last week to suggest she was pregnant with her 2nd child.

The “Heaven Sent” hitmaker posted a photo of herself wearing items from the Fashion Nova clothing line, she captioned the shot: “preggo in my Fashion Nova fit… Congradulations [sic] are in order.”

Within an hour, the entire urban blogosphere believed Cole was “pregnant” by an up-and-coming rapper.

On Saturday, July 7, Cole revealed she was only “trolling” her fans for constantly criticizing her voluptuous shape.

“I KINDA APOLOGIZE for TROLLING yesterday, telling y’all I was Preggo!!!! Buuuuuuut y’all need to stop body shamming me and sayin I’m PREGNANT EVERY OTHER DAY !!!! Like seriously, it hurts my feelings. HEY @fashionnova thought it was sweet that you all were excited about the news tho.”

Keyshia is already mother to eight-year-old Daniel Hiram Gibson, Jr, her son from her relationship with estranged husband Daniel Gibson.

Social media users have grown wary of celebrities staging stunts to promote movie/TV projects and clothing or weight loss sponsorships. It’s nearly impossible for fans to tell stunts from real news.
