Katt Williams is back behind bars. The 47-year-old comedian was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an Uber driver during an argument about driving his dog from a private Portland, Oregon airport on Friday night.
Williams, whose real name is Micah Williams, was booked to perform in Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” comedy show in Portland when the incident occurred.
The limo driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of multiple lacerations and bruises on his face. Williams left the scene in another Uber car. He was arrested and booked in jail on Saturday.
Williams, who has 19 prior felonies, is currently being held on $2,500 bail.
He is charged with assault in the fourth degree, and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. He is also being held on an arrest warrant out of Georgia.
An employee who answered the phone at Atlantic Aviation Airport told a reporter her boss instructed workers not to comment on the incident.
Williams who is best known for his standup comedy won an Emmy last month for “Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance in FX’s “Atlanta”.
