NeNe Leakes will make a cameo appearance in MTV’s How High 2, starring rapper Lil Yachty. The TV movie is the sequel to MTV’s hit comedy How High, starring rappers Redman and Method Man.
The TV movie is about two young Atlanta entrepreneurs who are on the hunt for financial funding for their new weed delivery truck service, similar to food trucks.
The TV movie began shooting in Atlanta last week.
NeNe, 49, posted images from the set with rapper Lil Yachty and actor Deray Davis.
NeNe captioned the images:
“Moving in silence has been the best thing for me this year because i believe there are people who try an pray against your success! Fun times on set filming a movie with these guys! My hot boyfriend @deraydavis my son @lilyachty and my crazy funny nephew @dcyoungfly… #waitforit”.
Universal Pictures and MTV struggled for 10 years to bring How High 2 to theaters. The entertainment giants believe Lil Yachty’s social media presence will signal success for the sequel, which is set to premiere on the network channel in 2019.
Social media has evolved since 2001 when the comedy cult hit classic How High was released.
The TV movie is directed by Bruce Leddy, produced by Missy Elliott, and executive produced by Quality Control Records honchos Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, who is engaged to Instagram hustler Lira Galore, aka Rick Ross’s ex.
To those of you who are under 25: will you watch How High 2 when it premieres next year?
