Dwyane Wade celebrated his youngest son Xavier Wade‘s 5th birthday in a post on social media today. Xavier’s mom is former reality TV star Aja Metoyer.
Dwyane Wade posted an image that shows him embracing his son wearing a Halloween costume, along with the caption: “Happy 5th birthday to this bad boy right here. Mr. Wakanda himself Xavier Wade!”
Wade, 36, and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, 46, welcomed a daughter via surrogate last week.
Gabrielle announced the baby girl was conceived via IVF after years of struggling to get pregnant and suffering multiple miscarriages.
Xavier was conceived naturally in 2013 at a time when Gabrielle claims she and Dwyane broke up briefly. The baby’s birth prompted Black Twitter to coin the term “break baby.”
Gabrielle and Dwyane purchased a home on the West Coast so the NBA star can be a part of his son’s life. But Gabrielle has never publicly accepted Xavier as her stepson, and the boy is noticeably missing from family portraits on her social media timelines.
