Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade had a few words for his haters in his New Year message on the last day of 2018. The 36-year-old NBA star, who will retire in 2019, wrote a lengthy message summarizing his highs and lows in 2018, including the birth of his first daughter, Kaavia James, via a surrogate.

“2019 i hope you’re ready for @kaaviajames and her agent/bodyguard of a father because this is how we’re coming into the new year “TOGETHER”,” he wrote.

He added:

“2018 was one of my most challenging years yet and also one of my most fulfilling years. From losing my mentor Henry Thomas in January. To being traded back to Miami in February. To standing with the state of Florida and the kids of Parkland in February /March.”

Wade concluded,

“The way 2018 started was awful for my family and i but it ended in my wife @gabunion and i bringing our miracle into this world… to the NEW YEAR and all that comes with it. We’re ready!!! #Ifyourenotwithusyoureagainstus #thereforeyoudonteexist #TheWades”.

Did you catch the shade at the end?

Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, 46, have quite a few haters — including Wade’s other baby mama, Aja Metoyer, who dissed Gabby in an Instagram post last week.

Early Saturday, Metoyer threw a not-so-subtle jab at Union by posting an Instagram meme that showed an image of a healed c-section scar with the text, “Shout out to every woman who made the sacrifice. You are appreciated.”

The implication is that barren women like Union aren’t appreciated because they didn’t make the “sacrifice” by laboring for hours to deliver their babies naturally or via c-section.
