Last night, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, left, attended her first Mayor’s Masked Ball as Atlanta’s mayor.
The annual Mayor’s Masked Ball is a traditional black tie event-slash-masquerade ball that brings together the City’s elite movers and shakers and local celebrities for a night of elegance, fine wine, dining, and live entertainment. The proceeds benefit a great cause, the UNCF.

This is one of my favorite couples: custom tailor Middleman Fresh and his wife Angela Watts. Years ago, Angela was going through a situation. I knew it wasn’t the right situation for her, but she persisted. 6 months later she called and told me she’d found a good man. She said, “No, really, Sandra, we’ve been together for months.” Then she told me his name, “Middleman”. I knew Middleman. He hired me to shoot his events. He’s one of the nicest, kindest men in Atlanta. I was happy for her. That was at least 10 years ago, and they are still going strong!
