Wendy Williams’ mother-in-law says her son, Kevin Hunter, is abusing the daytime talk Diva. Wendy, 54, is on extended leave from The Wendy Show while she tends to her fractured right shoulder and recovers from a recent hospitalization.
The National Enquirer reports exclusively that Wendy suffered “horrendously” at the hands of her husband/manager Kevin Hunter, who is reportedly shacking up with his mistress.
The tabloid interviewed Wendy’s mother-in-law, Pearlet Hunter, who claims Kevin attacked Williams, “choking her, kicking her and punching her in the face.”
The Enquirer claims Wendy helped Kevin cover up the abuse. But Kevin’s mother, Pearlet, says she refused to remain silent after Wendy appeared to slur her words and suffer memory lapses during episodes of her popular talk show.
“I saw Kevin choking out Wendy! Another time, I witnessed him kicking the s–t out of her and pushing her down the stairs,” Pearlet told The Enquirer exclusively.
The full interview with Pearlet Hunter is published in the National Enquirer’s current issue on newsstands now.
The shocking news comes after The Wendy Show producers released a statement on Jan. 18, saying Wendy “has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ disease that will require treatment. Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians. As part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital.”
