U.S President Donald Trump turned to his friends at McDonald’s to cater lunch as he welcomed the Clemson Tigers football team to celebrate their national football Championship at the White House in Washington, DC on January 14.

Trump has tweeted that he is the only person left in the White House as the entire ancillary staff – including the kitchen workers and chefs – have been furloughed during the partial government shutdown.

The President has expressed his love for fast food ion Twitter.com and in photos taken on Air Force One, the President’s official plane.

The Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 44-16 in the College Football national championship game earlier this month. The team accepted Trump’s invitation to the White House, unlike most championship teams which declined Trump’s invitation due to their disapproval over his immigration policies.

President Trump ordered the partial government shutdown on Dec. 22 following a dispute with Democratic senators who rejected his annual budget which included $5.7 billion for a border wall.

Trump says the shutdown could last for months or a year if he doesn’t get the funding approval for his border wall.
