Icebox

Armed robbers burglarized Icebox Diamonds & Watches Jewelry store in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta on Saturday.

The burglary was first reported by Channel 2’s Michael Seiden on Sunday.

Detectives told Seiden the brazen thieves followed the jewelry store manager to his Smyrna home, forced him and his wife inside and tied them up.

After the victims were tied up, the robbers stole jewelry and cash from the home. One of the robbers took the keys and passcodes and returned to the jewelry store at 3255 Peachtree Road, where he and a third accomplice disabled the burglar alarms.

The burglars spent two hours cleaning out multiple safes in the store.

The burglars were able to get into the safes by using FaceTime to speak with the manager and get the pass codes, police tell Channel 2 Action News.

The manager and his wife were not harmed.

Icebox sells custom made-to-order diamond chip jewelry using state of the art 3D printer technology. Diamond chip jewelry are highly favored by rappers. The store has a large hip-hop clientele that includes rappers T.I., 21 Savage, Migos, Young Thug, and more.
