A suspect has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 23-year-old Jassy Correia. The young mom went missing after celebrating her birthday at a Boston area nightclub early Sunday.

Correia was last seen alive leaving the Venue Nightclub in Boston in the company of a male at about 12:15am on Feb. 24.

Witnesses saw Correia entering a red Nissan Altima with the same male in the area of Tremont and Herald Streets. Police later identified the man as Louis D. Coleman III.

Coleman, 32, of Providence, Rhode Island, was taken into custody in Delaware on Thursday after a nationwide manhunt.

WPRI reports police obtained surveillance video that shows Coleman carrying Correia into a Chestnut St. apartment building. The footage shows Coleman emerging from the building with 2 suitcases.

Correia was not seen with him and she was not found inside the apartment, police say.

Correia’s father, Joaquin Correia, told NECN he called her cell phone to wish her a happy birthday, but she didn’t answer.

“If I don’t see my daughter, I don’t know how I’m going to live, he said through tears.

Correia leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter.
