VH1 execs are reportedly furious that Monica Brown refuses to discuss her marital problems on T.I. & Tiny’s Friends & Family Hustle. The single mother-of-three filed for divorce from former NBA star Shannon Brown last month.
Monica, 38, and her estranged husband, Shannon Brown, 33, parted ways in late 2017. So Mo invited her parents, Marilyn and Rev. Best, to move into her mansion to help care for her three children, Rocko, Romelo and Laiyah.
When Monica’s fans questioned whether she and her husband were separated, the ultra secretive singer denied the rumors – in so many words and pictures.
Now insiders claim Monica refused to discuss her marital problems on last year’s show. And she’s refusing to talk about her upcoming divorce on season 2 of ‘Family Hustle’ which premieres tonight on VH1.
Sources tell TMZ, Monica won’t even mention her soon-to-be ex-husband by name.
“We’re told Monica’s decision to stay mum is frustrating the people tasked with crafting an interesting storyline for the singer. And she’s just not cooperating with producers begging for her to open up about her relationship with Shannon.”
Monica, who is very private, goes to great lengths to keep her private life out of the public eye.
