Henry County, Georgia police released surveillance videos that shows Atlanta-based rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris arguing with a security guard at his gated community in McDonough last year. The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at approximately 4:43 a.m.

The video, uploaded to Youtube by Real World Police, shows the agitated rapper screaming at the security guard who refused to tell him his name. The altercation apparently started when T.I. felt disrespected that the guard didn’t know who he was.

T.I. was a passenger in a grey vehicle driven by music producer Marquinarius Holmes. The men arrived at the Eagles Landing gate in the early morning hours after working all night in a recording studio.

They apparently caught the guard sleeping and there was a verbal altercation.

After the guard let T.I. and Holmes inside the community, T.I. returned to the gate driving a white Rolls Royce – the most expensive car in his fleet of luxury vehicles.

After demanding the guard’s name, the rapper got back into the vehicle and told the guard, “I will be back!”

Moments later, T.I. returned to the guard shack on foot, again demanding the guard’s name.

As the rapper paced outside the guard shack, the guard called 911 to say he felt threatened.

“She can’t help you, dawg,” said T.I. “You gon’ have to deal with me! You gon’ have to look me in my eye and deal with me. Ain’t no way around me, sir!”

“Just ignore that,” the dispatcher advised the security guard.

“You’re making it worse. I got all night, bro,” said T.I. “I own property in here! You report to me, sir.”

The first two videos are sourced from the guard shack’s surveillance video system. A third video shows the perspective from the police body-worn camera video.

When the two officers arrived, they determined that T.I. was under the influence and he was arrested. The guard told the officers that he admitted T.I. into the community, but the rapper walked back to the guard shack to confront the security guard.

T.I. told the police he asked the guard his name. But in the video, T.I. is heard saying, “What’s yo’ muthaf—ing name, hoe ass ni–a!”

Holmes was also arrested for driving on a suspended license.
