Disneyland is billed as “the happiest place on earth, but a violent brawl ruined what should have been a day of fun for at least one family.
Disturbing video recorded at Disneyland on Saturday shows a violent brawl between a man, at least two morbidly obese women, and others.
The video, dated July 6, shows a man boxing with a woman while park guests grab their children and flee the scene of the melee.
Another man tried to intervene to stop the altercation. But the warring couple continued to fight.
The combatants included a disabled woman who fell out of her motorized chair and lay on the ground as the chaos continued around her.
Disney security showed up nearly 2 minutes later – after other park guests took matters into their own hands and tackled the main instigator to the ground.
The group was immediately escorted out of the theme park. Anaheim police later said the combatants are all members of the same family and they are not cooperating with the investigation.
Disneyland officials released a statement after the video went viral on Monday.
“We do not condone this behavior,” the statement reads.
APD is aware of a video going viral of a fight inside @Disneyland on Saturday. We responded to investigate. All parties were from the same family and were uncooperative. A report was taken. There was no video at the time. Now that we have video, the investigation can continue
