Eddie Murphy dropped the first trailer for his much-anticipated comedy film Dolemite Is My Name. Murphy heads a star-studded cast of bold name Black comedians and rappers from the past and present.
The top heavy cast includes Wesley Snipes, Keegan-Michael Key, Mike Epps, Snoop Dogg, Tasha Smith, Luenell, and a barely recognizable Tip “TI” Harris.
Dolemite Is My Name follows the life of X-rated comedian Rudy Ray Moore, whose bootleg adult comedy albums helped fund his first feature length blaxploitation film Dolemite.
Snoop Dogg plays another blaxploitation film legend, the late actor D’Urville Martin.
Dolemite Is My Name will stream on Netflix before hitting theaters this fall.
