Love Is Blind cast member Carlton Morton threatened suicide after social media users refused to support him when he came out as bisexual.
Love is Blind is produced by power couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey. The show followed 20 couples who meet for the first time on a blind date. The couples speak to each other through walls before meeting face to face.
If they click, their engagement is fast tracked and they proceed to get married or abandon their partner at the alter.
Contestants Carlton and Diamond Jack did not make it to the alter after he confessed that he was bisexual.
Diamond was upset that Carlton kept his secret lifestyle from her. According to theJasmineBrand.com, Carlton and Diamond forgave each other on the reunion special.
Carlton’s confession didn’t bring him the attention and press coverage that he had hoped for. Oprah and Ellen Degeneres didn’t call him to book interviews.
He went off the deep end when the Black LGBT and T media accused him of using the bisexual lifestyle for attention.
The overly emotional Carlton took to social media to complain that his “celebrity friends” abandoned him after he came out.
Feeling alone and depressed, he wrote a series of suicidal notes to manipulate his social media followers into expressing false sympathy for him.
In a goodbye message on his Instagram story, Morton wrote:
“Today is one of those days where I don’t want to be here. I feel extremely alone and unsupported. I’ve cried for help since Feb. 13. No one cares.”
In another post, he wrote: “Goodbye everyone.”
As a result of his Diva antics, the hashtag #BisexualMenExist trended on Twitter.com.
