The Migos rapper, real name Kiari Cephus, filed legal papers, obtained by TMZ, in a Fulton County, Georgia courtroom, requesting that his daughter take his last name Cephus.
Offset acknowledges he’s the biological father of Kalea, who was born in 2015 to Nicole Marie Algarin. However, the single mom named the girl Kalea Marie Algarin, which does not sit well with the star, who wants his daughter’s last name changed to his.
He is also requesting joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.
The move comes after Nicole, who goes by the stage name Shya L’amour, filed papers last October asking for more child support from the millionaire rapper.
Offset claims he is already paying enough support and says both parties should be financially responsible for their daughter.
Kalea is Offset’s fourth kid – he has two sons, Jordan and Kody, from previous relationships.
