Tamar Braxton‘s boyfriend rushed to court file for protection against the R&B singer and reality TV star, reports TMZ.com.
David Adefeso filed for a restraining order Tuesday in L.A., accusing Tamar of abusing him in a domestic violence incident, TMZ has learned.
David is asking a judge to grant him a restraining order against Tamar. It’s unclear if she attacked him and if he has any injuries.
The court hasn’t approved his request just yet — TMZ reached out to Tamar’s team to get more info.
The 43-year-old R&B star was hospitalized in Los Angeles on July 16 after David found her disoriented and lethargic in her hotel suite. She had apparently swallowed a handful of prescription pills.
David told 911 that Tamar was threatening to kill herself. He also mentioned her WE tv beef to cops at the time.
Braxton family sources told TMZ they believe she’s changed since hooking up with him — claiming her mood seems to align with his.
They said David comes off as controlling in Tamar’s reality show, and that he’s been quite involved in her business decisions of late.
Tamar’s new single “Crazy Kind of Love” peaked at #2 on Billboard and Media Base charts. “Crazy Kind of Love”, the first single off the soundtrack to the upcoming theatrical release TRUE TO THE GAME 2, is scheduled to be in theaters nationwide late November 2020.
