Chrissy Teigen‘s mother, Vilailuck shared a heartbreaking video on her Instagram account after losing her grandson.

Chrissy delivered a stillborn baby boy over the weekend, after she suffered a miscarriage and her baby died in utero. Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, named the baby Jack.

Vilailuck, aka Pepper Thai, captioned her video, “My heart aches love you so much baby Jack.”

In the video, Vilailuck weeps softly while cradling and praying over her grandson Jack.

Chrissy was hospitalized over the weekend due to heavy bleeding. The 34-year-old model and social media influencer announced the devastating news on Sept. 30, as she shared a B&W photo of herself sitting on her hospital bed crying.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she wrote in the caption. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

Teigen also shared a B&W photo of a doctor administering an epidural injection in preparation to induce labor. In another touching photo, she and Legend are seen mourning their stillborn son.

Over the weekend, Chrissy shared her medical complications with her followers:

“I was always, always bleeding. I’m about halfway through pregnancy and blood has been going for a month… maybe a little less than a month. But we’re talking more than your period, girls, but definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot and it’s usually fine. Mine was a lot. Every time I’d go to the bathroom, it would be blood, but honestly, just laying there would be blood. But today the big difference was that it kind of was like you were to turn a faucet on to low and leave it there. It was at the point today where it was, like, never stopping.”

Teigen had been on mandatory bedrest for weeks after periodic spotting and profuse bleeding.

Doctors usually prescribe the female hormone Progesterone to women with a history of bleeding to prevent a miscarriage.

But Progesterone can be both a blessing and a curse to pregnant women, as the hormone can cause excessive uterine bleeding that leads to a spontaneous abortion.
