It doesn’t take much for McDonald’s to fire an employee these days. There’s always another job seeker waiting in the wings.
On Dec. 13, rapper DaBaby pulled into a North Carolina McDonald’s drive thru to pick up an order. The drive thru employee recognized the rapper and begged DaBaby to listen to his freestyle. DaBaby streamed the freestyle on his Instagram Story.
The former McDonald’s employee and aspiring rapper, Mouf, who goes by @therealmouf on Instagram, shared DaBaby’s video of his impromptu audition on Instagram, which gained him thousands of followers.
But his manager didn’t appreciate the worker spewing profane language in earshot of his customers. After all, McDonald’s has a reputation to uphold.
Mouf was terminated from McDonald’s on Monday, but his track, “The Messenger” is streaming on all platforms. Was DaBaby worth losing his job over?
WARNING: Video contains excessive profanity.
