Democrat lawmakers are eager to put Covid-19 behind them and reopen schools and restaurants "as soon as possible."
After single-handily destroying New York City's economy by ordering restaurants and other businesses shut down for months, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo now wants to reopen his city.
"We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass," Cuomo tweeted Monday. "The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open. We must reopen the economy, but we must do it smartly and safely."
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot also called for reopening her city's small businesses and schools "as quickly as possible."
Lightfoot said she plans to have a conversation with Gov. JB Pritzker about rolling back Covid-19 virus restrictions quickly.
"I want to get our restaurants and bars reopened as quickly as possible," she said.
Sen. Ted Cruz's advisor Omri Ceren tweeted: "Scientists, journalists, and blue city mayors have all just discovered - more or less at once - that it's critical to get America open again. Lucky break for everyone, that convergence."
The liberal news media, who helped drive the fear-mongering in 2020, have already removed the constant Covid-19 death counters that dominated their news broadcasts 24/7 for a year.
No need for those pesky death count reminders anymore.
The next step is to report a "drop" in Covid-19 "cases" and decreased hospitalizations.
Some news outlets are already reporting a drop in new Covid-19 "cases" in Illinois in the past week. Right on schedule.
While reopening restaurants will be easy, Democrats will have a harder time convincing terrified parents to send their children back to school -- after scaring them to death for a year.
