More details have emerged about a former Atlanta Falcons player who killed five people then turned the gun on himself in South Carolina.

Phillip Adams, who played defensive back on multiple teams including the Falcons, fatally shot five people before killing himslf.

According to Complex.com, Adams shot and killed 70-year-old Dr. Robert Lesslie and his 69-year-old wife Barbara Lesslie. The couple was pronounced dead at their home on Wednesday.

Adams also killed their grandchildren, 9-year-old Adah Lesslie, and 5-year-old Noah Lesslie.

A HVAC technician working outside the home, 38-year-old James Lewis, was found shot to death. A second HVAC technician was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Adams forced his way into the Rock Hill, SC home and opened fire. All four family members were found in a bedroom in the home.

Adams lived with his mother down the street from the victims.

The York County Sheriff’s Office located Adams in a home in Rock Hill on Thursday. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Adams was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2010. His last season was in 2015.
