“You’re OK. You’re not going to – you’re not going to get Covid if you have these vaccinations… If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the ICU unit, and you’re not going to die.”

According to reports, 99% of all patients currently hospitalized with Covid are unvaccinated.

But the percentage of “breakthrough” cases among the fully vaccinated is rising.

WSB-TV news anchor Fred Blankenship and his entire family contracted Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and quarantining.

The well-liked Atlanta newsman suffered difficulty breathing and a temporary loss of taste and smell. He announced his symptoms in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

“Breakthrough positives as they are known are very real,” he wrote. “I thought because I was fully vaccinated the symptoms would be mild. They were not.”

However, Blankenship said despite his symptoms, his doctor told him it could’ve been a lot worse if he had not gotten the vaccine.

“My doctor told me the fact that I got the vaccination and stayed in relatively good shape kept me out of the hospital. It’s been a big reminder that health is the true wealth.”
