Dr. Umar Johnson is off the market. The famed psychologist tied the knot with two beautiful women over the weekend.
Johnson married the two women after giving a speech, according to EURweb. In an Instagram video, Johnson got down on his knees as he put a ring on each of the women’s fingers.
One of the women graciously held the other sister wife’s bouquet while Johnson put a ring on her finger.
The 47-year-old clinical psychologist then embraced his wives. Later, he stood between the beaming brides as the crowd cheered.
Johnson is among the ranks of Black men who choose nontraditional relationships such as polygamy in a society where women outnumber men.
In a 2017 interview with EURweb‘s Lee Bailey, Johnson said:
“Because we are self-hating people, we love nothing more than conflict and a good fight between each other. That’s why any time something negative occurs it gets way more attention than something positive.”
Johnson, who is also founder and president of the National Independent Black Parent Association (NIBPA), said:
“I’m on a mission to unite African people, and to wake up black parents as it relates to their obligations to protect their children inside these houses of sin, otherwise known as public schools. The war against black boys is one of the major crises facing black America. So being an activist and being a school psychologist, I’m able to bring both my walks of life together to try to aid and benefit the struggle of my people.”
