Former President Donald Trump angered his supporters when he touted the safety and effectiveness of the Covid-19 mRNA vaccines.

The crowd booed when Trump confirmed he got the booster shot in a discussion with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly during the final stop of their “History Tour” in Dallas on Sunday.

“Both the president and I are vaxxed,” O’Reilly said, as the audience booed and jeered.

“Did you get the booster?” O’Reilly asked Trump. “Yes,” Trump responded. “I got it, too,” O’Reilly said, as the boos escalated.

“Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t!” Trump said.

The former president took credit for fast-tracking the mRNA vaccine during his final days in office.

“Look, we did something that was historic. We saved tens of millions of lives worldwide. We together, all of us — not me, we — we got a vaccine done, three vaccines done, and tremendous therapeutics. This was going to ravage the country far beyond what it is right now. Take credit for it. Take credit for it… Don’t let them take it away. Don’t take it away from ourselves.”

“You’re playing right into their hands when you sort of like, ‘Oh the vaccine.’ If you don’t want to take it, you shouldn’t be forced to take it. No mandates,” he said, as the crowd cheered.

Twitter users expressed outrage and vowed to vote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the Republican primaries next year.
