A third federal judge has blocked the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for federal contractors.
A Georgia judge blocked the vaccine mandate nationwide, according to Fortune.com.
The preliminary injunction was issued by U.S. District Judge Stan Baker, CBS46 reports.
It is the third roadblock to the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for federal contractors. Millions of federal workers were expected to be vaccinated by the deadline on Jan. 4.
An appeals court judge issued the first block against the federal mandate last month.
The White House defiantly told businesses with more than 100 employees to proceed with the vaccine mandates anyway.
“People should not wait. They should continue to move forward and make sure they’re getting their workplace vaccinated,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the time.
Multiple states filed lawsuits, arguing that the administration’s mandates violates the U.S. Constitution.
