Jada Pinkett Smith appears in a new trailer for her “Red Table Talk” web series as her husband Will Smith‘s career lays in ruins.
Facebook Watch released the new trailer on Tuesday for the season 5 premiere featuring actress Kim Basinger and bisexual singer/actress Janelle Monáe..
Monáe opens up about coming out in her thirties. She explains how she overcame her daddy issues amid “fears of abandonment and healed from the traumatizing effects of her father’s drug addiction.”
The episode will also feature a special appearance by Monáe’s “feisty and fierce-loving mom” Janet Hawthorne.
Monae identifies as pansexual, queer, non-binary and bisexual. She has dated both men and women, including a brief romance with actress Lupita Nyong’o.
Pinkett Smith’s mother Adrienne Banfield Norris and children, Jaden and Willow, will also return for season 5 on April 20 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
Will Smith is notably missing from the season premiere.
Smith’s stellar career was canceled after he slapped Oscars presenter Chris Rock when the 57-year-old comedian joked about Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.
Smith, 53, has been banned from attending any Oscars events for the next 10 years. Additionally, all of his upcoming projects have been canceled and no one in Hollywood will work with him.
