Beyonce is coming out of retirement to release her 7th studio album, titled Renaissance. Beyonce’s fans knew the full-time mom and homemaker was up to something when she deleted all of her social media profile pics this week.
Renaissance, is officially scheduled to drop on July 29th, Columbia Records announced on social media early Thursday morning.
According to Webster’s Dictionary, “renaissance” means the revival of classic style, architecture and art influenced by European culture from the 14th to 16th centuries.
In other words, the 40-year-old singer hopes her forthcoming album will “revive” her career and make her relevant again.
Beyonce’s bios were updated on her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to promote the album. The new project will feature 16 tracks. Four unique box sets are currently available for pre-order on Beyonce’s website.
The box sets will contain a CD, T-shirt, mini-poster and a 28-page photo booklet.
It isn’t clear if the album will be available in vinyl for audiophiles who prefer to listen to music as it was meant to be heard.
