Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were snubbed by Buckingham Palace after they flew all the way to London to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s 2022 Platinum Jubilee.
Buckingham Palace has a strict guest list policy that prohibits outsiders and attention-seekers from attending the Platinum Jubilee festivities.
Palace officials flatly rejected Kim’s pleas for invites to the Platinum Jubilee official party after she and Pete flew across the pond to attend the festivities.
Reps for Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, reportedly asked Buckingham Palace for invitations to the Platinum Party on Saturday. But officials turned the American couple down.
A source said Kim and Pete apparently believed they could snag invitations through other means, like they do in America.
A platinum jubilee is a celebration to commemorate a monarch’s 70th anniversary. Queen Elizabeth II is the most recent monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee.
The Platinum Jubilee is a very big deal in Great Britain and it is the hottest ticket in town.
Kim was so desperate to attend the Platinum Jubilee party that a source told the Daily Mail she didn’t even mind if the tickets were “not VIP”.
“Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event,” a source said. “So this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn’t visit the UK often. Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.”
Kim and Pete may be superstars in America, but they are commoners over in England.
