A Fulton County, Georgia man had his girlfriend lure his ex-girlfriend into a “fight” so he could ambush and kill her.
Police say Colvin Lindsey fatally shot De’ja McCrary outside her car when she drove to an apartment complex to fight with his current girlfriend.
McCrary’s 4-year-old daughter was in the car when her mother was killed at the Camelot Condominiums in South Fulton on May 25. The child suffered minor scratches, according to 11 Alive News.
South Fulton Police Chief Keith Meadows told 11 Alive that Colvin asked his girlfriend, Teandra Brox, to lure McCrary to the complex to “fight” with her.
McCrary reportedly believed she was going to the complex to meet up with Brox to fight over Lindsey.
When McCrary got out of her car, she was shot and killed, police said.
A third woman, Aquala Barnes, allegedly text McCrary to tell her where to meet Brox, 11 Alive reports.
Lindsey was arrested on May 30 and faces multiple charges, including murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 11 Alive reports.
Barnes was arrested on May 26 and charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, among other charges.
Brox was arrested on June 1 and charged with murder, and other crimes, according to 11 Alive. All three are being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail.
