Young Thug’s nephew has been charged with shooting his girlfriend in the face when an argument turned violent early Wednesday.
Fardereen Deonta Grier allegedly shot Atlanta promoter Destiny Fitzpatrick in the face and killed her just before 1:50 a.m. in a residence on the 900 block of Proctor Street in East Point, a suburb southwest of Atlanta.
Fitzpatrick was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Grier was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder.
According to TMZ Hip-Hop, Grier told police he was rapper Young Thug’s nephew – the son of Thugger’s older sister.
Relatives confirmed Grier’s relationship to Young Thug, who is locked up on RICO gang charges.
Grier first told responding officers that he fought off 2 armed, masked intruders, but officers say he eventually admitted to shooting Destiny in the face.
A neighbor allegedly heard arguing in the residence prior to the shooting.
Young Thug is currently in the Cobb County Jail after being denied bond multiple times.
It isn’t clear if Grier is the aspiring rapper BSlime who shared a phone call of his uncle Thugga free-styling from jail last month.
“I’m just sitting here in my cell like, ‘Damn, I’m really in jail / God, give me another chance to show you I can prevail / I could put my arms from wall to wall inside this tiny – ass cell,” Young Thug rapped.
Thug admitted to having suicidal thoughts in his freestyle.
“I tried to cry but ain’t nothing left / I contemplated doing myself, ni**a / The most suicide deaths are in this jail / But let’s not forget that this ain’t hell.”
Thug, born Jeffery Williams, was referring to the notorious Cobb County Jail, where 3 inmates died in just 3 weeks in May.
