According to the New York Post, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “furious” that their American-born children won’t receive the coveted HRH titles.

After Queen Elizabeth II died on Sept. 8, her eldest son and heir to the throne King Charles III agreed to bestow the titles of “Prince” and “Princess” on Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.

But King Charles has refused to allow the children to be known as “His Royal Highness” and “Her Royal Highness”.

Queen Elizabeth II stripped Harry and Meghan of their HRH titles after they abandoned their royal duties to seek fame and fortune in the US.

Royal experts say their children will not receive the HRH titles either.

“That is the agreement — they can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals,” one insider told the Sun.

Harry and Meghan are reportedly furious over the latest snub, according to the UK newspaper. “They have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH,” said the insider.

In 2012, Queen Elizabeth II declared that all children born to Prince William (2nd from right) would be entitled to HRH titles. But not the children born to Harry (left).

Meghan told Oprah Winfrey that she considered the Queen’s declaration to be racist because her children are mixed race. She was upset that her son, Archie, would not receive protection as a HRH.

So far, Archie and Lilibet are only referred to as “Master” and “Miss” on the official order of succession. The American children are sixth and seventh in line for the throne.

In a recent interview with Extra, Oprah Winfrey said she hoped the Queen’s death would bring the royal families closer together and provide “an opportunity for peacemaking.”
