A federal judge in Atlanta ordered blogger Tasha K to pay a $4 million bond to stop Cardi B from seizing her assets.
Earlier this year the Bronx rapper won a $4 million jury award in a defamation lawsuit filed against the blogger.
Cardi requested the $4 million bond last month, but Tasha immediately filed a motion to stop the collection process while she appeals the jury award.
Judge William Ray ruled Thursday, Oct. 13, that the infamous gossip blogger must either immediately pay the nearly $4 million judgment or put up a $4 million bond to secure the judgment in case Tasha K loses her appeal.
The rapper’s attorneys were concerned that Tasha K flew to Africa last month and may be attempting to hide her assets.
If Tasha K pays the $4 million bond – but loses her appeal – the money will be immediately turned over to Cardi.
However, Tasha K doesn’t have $4 million, nor does she have the assets to borrow that much money. Which means Cardi can proceed to seize her bank accounts and physical property.
So far, Cardi’s attorneys found $1,083.02 in a JP Morgan Chase Bank account. Today’s ruling means Cardi can seize Tasha’s cash.
