Actor Michael Rainey Jr. has a bone to pick with bosses at Starz Network. The Power series star called out the network in since-deleted messages on Instagram Thursday.
Rainey Jr, who plays Tariq St. Patrick on Power and Power Book II: Ghost, called Starz bosses “disrespectful” and he referred to himself as one of the network’s “top earners”.
Rainey Jr. wrote, “how would y’all feel if Ghost Book II never came back on air?” and “IT’S LIKE @STARZ FORGOT WHO REALLY CARRYING THIS NETWORK ON THEY SHOULDERS…”

In another post on his Instagram Stories, Rainey, 22, suggested the network is stupid for ignoring the show’s talent.
“Can’t respect a network or anyone at a network that’s turns a blind eye to their top earners. I can’t respect stupidity.”
Fans speculated that Ghost Book II season 3 (also starring Mary J. Blige) was canceled since production has wrapped for months and there is still no word on when the series will return.
Rumor has it that Blige, 51, is demanding a new contract with a huge increase in her paychecks per episode.
Fans believe the delay is due to the new season’s connection to Power Book IV: Force Season 2, starring actor Joseph Sikora.
But others say Rainey Jr’s rant sounds personal – as if he knows his show is not coming back.
50 Cent, who parted ways with Starz in September, didn’t react to Rainey’s rant.
Rainey Jr. is a former child star who began acting at age 10. He was featured in movies and shows such as Orange is the New Black, The Butler, Barbershop, Amateur, 211, and Power.
