When comedian Dave Chappelle hosts Saturday Night Live this weekend, he will write his own skits.

According to Page Six some staff writers are boycotting this weekend’s show because Chappelle is hosting.

The writers are outraged over Chappelle’s transgender jokes that are part of his standup comedy routines.

“They’re not going to do the show,” an insider told Page Six. “But none of the actors are boycotting.”

However, Chappelle’s rep told Page Six they weren’t aware of a boycott when they attended writers’ meetings at 30 Rock this week.

Chappelle attended the meeting with SNL writers and producers on Tuesday. His rep told Page Six “there was no evidence of a boycott.”

“The room was full of writers. They all pitched ideas and they seemed very excited about it… Dave is looking to have some fun,” the rep said.

Saturday Night Live announced last week the comedian would host the show with musical guest Black Star on Nov. 12. It will be his third time hosting SNL.

If the writers boycott this weekend’s show, Chappelle will be forced to write his own skits.
