T.J. Holmes was visibly nervous as he sat alone at the anchor desk during the third hour of ABC’s Good Morning America on Wednesday.
“All right, folks, Welcome to GMA3 minus two,” he said nervously. “Ain’t that something? Yes. Robach is not here. Dr. Ashton, not here. Stuck with me, folks.”
Holmes anchored the show alone after his secret affair with co-host Amy Robach was exposed by DailyMail.com Wednesday.
The British tabloid posted dozens of paparazzi photos of the pair holding hands and enjoying after-work drinks at a pub in NYC before heading upstate for a getaway weekend.
In one image, Holmes grabbed a handful of Robach’s buttocks outside their rented cabin in the woods.
Holmes, 45, is still married to 44-year-old attorney, Marilee Fiebig. They tied the knot in 2010 and share a 9-year-old daughter named Sabine.
On their 10th anniversary, Holmes wrote a touching Facebook post praising Fiebig for standing by him despite his cheating ways. He referred to her determination to hold her family together as “built-in Black woman superpower.”
“10 years ago, Marilee Fiebig married me. And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years,” he wrote on Mar. 1, 2020. “That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the door. But instead, with her built-in black woman superpower, she showed a grace and patience that’s incomprehensible.”
He continued, “Asking her for another 10 years would be asking too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky. If she puts up with me another 10 days, I’d be grateful. But if she would even spare another 10 minutes of her time for me today, I should consider myself blessed.”
Meanwhile, Robach, 49, is married to former Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue, 55.

Both Holmes and Robach deleted their Instagram accounts after outraged viewers slammed them for being unfaithful to their spouses.
Furious viewers of the show also flooded ABC’s social media pages with angry comments about the star-crossed lovers.
Some women expressed outrage because they lost their husbands to scheming women.
According to DailyMail.com, Robach and Holmes took their relationship to another level while covering Queen Elizabeth‘s Jubilee in June in London.
On Thursday, Holmes and Robach were seen arriving at his Manhattan apartment building. The next day, they were spotted together in her blue BMW convertible.
Holmes and Robach drove two-hours to the Shawangunk Mountains where they stayed in a rented cabin, surrounded by a hiking trail and a private waterfall.
Holmes is best known for dating singer Usher‘s ex-girlfriend Rozonda Thomas, a.k.a. Chilli from TLC. According to the blogs, they dated from 2007-2008.
