Chicago drill rapper Lil Zay Osama is back behind bars following his arrest Tuesday on gun charges.
Osama, real name Isaiah Dukes, was previously arrested in New York for leaving a loaded machine gun behind in an Uber.
Details are scarce on his most recent arrest, but it is being reported that Chicago Police found several illegal weapons in a vehicle driven by the 25-year-old aspiring rapper this week.
According to court documents obtained by XXL, federal prosecutors say an Uber driver picked up Lil Zay and his crew on Sept. 29, 2022. When Zay entered the vehicle, the driver reportedly noticed he was holding a firearm.
The Uber driver completed the trip to Queens, N.Y., and realized that Zay left his firearm behind in the back seat. The driver then called police who recovered the weapon. Police tracked down Lil Zay and arrested him.
He was released on $1 million bail in October 2022.
It is illegal to possess a handgun modified with a switch.
What is a switch?
A switch is a small device that snaps onto the back of a handgun and converts it into a fully automatic machine gun.
Glocks with switches are the preferred weapons of gang members everywhere.
Lil Zay is signed to Lil Durk’s Only The Family record label and is one of the aspiring rappers featured on Durk’s 2022 mixtape, Loyal Bros 2.
