Family and friends of Marisia Burton have not seen or heard from her since Dec. 22, 2022. Marisia is a 19-year-old Disney College Program intern.
The family is extremely concerned that foul play might be involved in her disappearance.
Marisia, who is from Houston, was last seen at Disney’s employee housing at Flamingo Crossings East in Winter Garden, Florida, near Orlando.
Marisia is described as 5-foot-6, weighing roughly 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
According to posts by other College Program interns (CPs) on Reddit.com, the Disney College Program is very strict. Missing one day of work without a valid excuse may result in termination from the program.
According to a co-worker, Marisia allegedly told her sister she quit the program rather than be terminated after missing a day of work. But that information has not been verified.
There is speculation that Marisia may be a victim of sex trafficking in the Orlando area.

“My daughter is a CP. She was there for a year in 2019 and she’s been there almost a year this time. She called me as soon as she saw the flyer. The CPs in the group started asking questions to try and get as much info as possible in order to help. That’s when people started noticing some issues with the story. It’s just odd that none of this young lady’s coworkers, roommates, or leaders have said anything. They said she worked at Caribbean Beach in quick service, but the costume she’s wearing in the photo being shared is from Hollywood Studios.”
Edited to correct definition of “CP” and to add more comments:
“Hey, Sandra. Cast member of 6 years here, first… a CP is not a character performer, it stands for College Program, which is an internship. Marisia was an intern for the company and as a CP you can be there for a year max before your program ends, unless you are termed (fired or quit)… CPs are often sent to locations outside of their home location when a place is short staffed (this is called deployment) and the company as a whole (especially Disney World Orlando) is suffering staffing shortages. so she needed that costume to work that shift. This would be why Marisia is not in a Caribbean Beach costume, other reasons may be she simply picked up a shift in Hollywood Studios. A lot of CPs like to work various locations for the experience more than anything so she could have been one of them or she just worked it for the money (if she volunteered to work and wasn’t deployed).”
