Former Good Morning America anchor TJ Holmes reportedly had an affair with an ABC News intern.
A confidential source tells DailyMail.com their affair began in 2015 while Holmes was married. The source said then-24-year-old Jasmin Pettaway sought out Holmes as a prospective mentor but he seduced her and had sex with her on his desk in his office.
The source, who knew Pettaway, said: “[Holmes] was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless.”
“It was Jasmin’s first real job in television, and it was a big deal for her. She was looking for a mentor and she reached out to several people. T.J. was someone who was responsive, but he absolutely abused the position of trust,” the source said.
“I don’t know how long that had been going on before it got sexual, but I do know the first time it did was in his office, and he was about to go on air in a couple of hours.”
The source added: “This was a young woman, starting out in a difficult industry, looking for role models and mentors and she got T.J.”
Holmes previously had a three-year affair with Good Morning America producer Natasha Singh, 37, that began in 2016 – while he was married to Marilee Fiebig (pictured). He recently filed for divorce from Fiebig with whom he shares a 9-year-old daughter.
Holmes and his current love interest Amy Robach are out of lucrative anchor jobs after they took their workplace romance public in November. The public backlash forced ABC’s parent company Walt Disney to suspend Holmes and Robach while an investigation was launched into Holmes’ sexual exploits on the job.
Specifically, Disney and ABC are trying to determine if Holmes took advantage of young female employees who were his subordinates.
Pettaway’s experience could spell disaster for Disney, whose stock price has already dropped significantly.
