TJ Holmes‘ estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig is speaking out after he filed for divorce in December.
Marilee opened up via her attorney Stephanie Lehman who released a statement on Wednesday. “During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter,” Lehman said.
“To that end T.J.’s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible. Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter.”
By “lack of discretion,” she probably means the shameful way that TJ has flaunted his relationship with co-worker Amy Robach. The scandalous couple apparently contacted the paparazzi to take photos of them on vacation in Florida recently.
Their brazen adultery has gotten them suspended from ABC’s Good Morning America spin-off GMA3. It isn’t clear if they’re still drawing paychecks while they flaunt their workplace romance in public.
“Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year,” Lehman said.
Holmes and Fiebig, both 45, were married for 12 years. He allegedly cheated on his wife for half of those years. The couple share a daughter named Sabine.
Holmes left CNN at the end of 2011 after signing a multi-platform talent deal with BET Networks. BET and Holmes parted ways in 2013.
In December 2012, Holmes became a substitute weekend anchor on MSNBC. He also appeared on CNN as a fill-in correspondent and anchor. In September 2014, Holmes joined ABC News as a correspondent and anchor.
There are reports that Holmes slept his way up the ladder at the networks. ABC and its parent company Disney are trying to determine whether he violated company policy by sleeping with subordinates.
