Pregnant Rihanna gave a soaring performance of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever anthem “Lift Me Up” at the 95th Academy Awards in Hollywood, on Sunday, March 12.

It was the Bajan singer’s first-ever performance at the Academy Awards. The pop singer shared an Instagram video of her Oscar worthy performance — even though she didn’t win the coveted trophy.

RiRi lost her first Oscar nomination to “Naatu Naatu” from the independent film “RRR” in the Best Original Song category.

She co-wrote the song with Nigerian singer/songwriter Tems as a tribute to the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman.

Rihanna’s glam squad fussed over her before she took to the stage. She wore a Maison Margiela outfit that revealed her growing baby bump. The costume, designed by John Galliano, featured a tulle halter top covered in crystals and wide-leg pants with floral embroidery. She accessorized her outfit with black leather opera gloves and diamond jewelry.
