Chloe Bailey‘s new album In Pieces sold just 10,000 units — and her fans blame mentor Beyonce for not promoting her project.
Chloe and her sister, Halle Bailey, formed the duo Chloe x Halle when they were kids.
After moving from Mableton, Georgia to Los Angeles in 2012, they began posting cover songs on YouTube. Their cover videos caught Beyonce’s attention.
They were signed to Beyonce’s independent label, Parkwood Entertainment, and eventually released an EP and a mixtape.
The girls were nominated for a Grammy award for their 2018 debut album The Kids Are Alright.
Now Chloe’s fans are busy dragging Beyonce for dear life on Twitter, according to Page Six.
“Beyonce literally hates her lol didn’t do anything for the album couldn’t even give her a feature and she not even opening up for her during the tour,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another fan tweeted: “Nah beyonce could’ve at least posted Chloe Bailey album on her story I mean ain’t that your artist?????”
And a third person wrote: “Beyonce nasty for not promoting Chloe’s album a simple IG repost would’ve probably gave Chloe a top 50 debut.”
Meanwhile, Chloe claims Beyonce listened to the album before it dropped, and she had Beyonce’s blessings to release it as is.
“She listened to the album,” the singer told ET earlier this month. “She gave me notes on it before I released it.”
Poor Chloe still believes Beyonce has her best interests at heart.
“I love her so much,” Chloe continued. “Dearly, dearly, and I’m so grateful to her for everything.”
Chloe also had this to say to her online critics at a recent concert:
“Thanks for all the support on the motherf***ing album. F**k what the f**k everybody gotta f***ing say. They can kiss my Black a**. Because I know you guys love me and this is all I need.”
