Eva Marcille‘s husband, Michael Sterling, is throwing in the towel and giving up on hopes of reconciling with his long-suffering wife.
According to Radar Online, Michael has hired a divorce attorney to represent him.
Michael, 39, publicly vowed to fight for his marriage after Eva, 38, served him with divorce papers last month.

In a statement to Jasmine Brand last month, Michael said:
“I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being. I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”
According to court documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Michael has hired a lawyer named Kristal Holmes to represent him in the case.
Eva and Michael were married for five years and share two minor children.
Michael adopted Eva’s daughter, Marley (center), after her incarcerated father, Kevin McCall, terminated his parental rights.
Eva is seeking legal and primary custody of the children and child support as well as support with “care and maintenance” and medical costs for the children.
Eva wants the court to award her “equitable division” of their physical assets and she wants equal division of their debts. The ex-couple is reportedly deep in debt.
Eva wiped her Instagram account of Michael’s photos after he moved out in February.
