Nicki Minaj teamed up with Ice Spice on the rap newcomer’s “Princess Diana” remix.
The music video dropped on Friday.
The remix comes weeks after Nicki mentioned Ice Spice on her track “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.”
In “Princess Diana” Ice Spice compares herself to the late Princess Diana, while bragging about her feminine wiles and sexual prowess with another woman’s man.
“Nowadays, I be duckin’ them cameras/And they hype that I’m up on them banners/Callin’ my phone, but they know I don’t answer (Why?)/In the hood I’m like Princess Diana,” she raps.
The 23-year-old Bronx native is best known for her hit single “Munch (Feelin’ U)” (2022).
Pitchfork ranked the single the 30th best of 2022. The New York Times hailed Ice as “rap’s new princess”.
However, Nicki outshines the youngster on her own track. Nicki’s vocal chops dominates Ice’s breathless rhyme style.
Nicki shows respect to the newcomer, calling her a “bad little redhead.”
Nicki raps:
And I just fell in love with a gangsta
So I hold him down like an anchor
He said if I keep it a hundred
That he’ll keep me safe like a banker
