Bishop Lamor Whitehead is suing gossip vlogger Tasha K for $360 million in damages. The embattled Brooklyn preacher announced the lawsuit in a video on his Instagram account over the weekend.
“I just want y’all to know that the lawsuit has been filed, and everybody’s gonna know to stop playing with the bishop,” he said.
Whitehead warned other bloggers to “Be very wary when you have my name in your mouth.” He added, “You will have to pay. It’s my legal right to sue. So, yes, I have sued Tasha K.”
The preacher acknowledged that Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, has already lost a $4 million judgment to rapper Cardi B in her slander case.
Tasha K filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a Florida court in May. A bankruptcy judge ordered Cardi B to back off until the bankruptcy case can be heard in court.
“I don’t care about none of that,” Whitehead said in the video. “You gonna pay.”
Whitehead is battling legal troubles of his own. He was charged with wire fraud and lying to the FBI last year.
He also faces a $5 million lawsuit for locking a congregation out of their Brooklyn church in April.
Whitehead filed a $200 million defamation lawsuit against businessman Brandon Belmonte last month. He claimed Belmonte provided statements to a reporter for a New Yorker article that led to federal charges against him.
Whitehead is known for wearing flashy suits and expensive jewelry while driving a Rolls Royce.
