The Sandrarose.com community mourns the loss of 2 beloved longtime members: Tyesha Cook, a.k.a. “Sugarfoot” (pictured), and Tania, aka “MissHarlem.”
Tyesha passed away in her sleep on April 29, 2023. She was only 43. Her last comment was posted on April 28 at 5:43 PM.
Details are scarce about Tania’s untimely death.
According to Tyesha’s obituary, she was originally from Hiram, Ga., and previously lived in Atlanta and Chicago, Il.
Tyesha’s funeral service was held on May 9, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Home and Chapel in Marietta, Ga. Her homegoing service was livestreamed and is available to view at heritagefuneralchapel.com.
Anti Bible Thumping, aka KDub, was first to announce the sad news. She wrote:
“It’s with beyond a heavy heart that I can confirm two long time Roses are no longer with us. I don’t have details on either other than they are gone.
MissHarlem. Baby I loved you. I had just talked to you earlier this year. You were excited about the baby. We connected here originally over Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Teena Marie. I’m going to miss our random texts and emails to just literally say hi. Sleep easy Tania.
Sugarfoot Ty. Arby’s roast beef will always be our inside longtime blog joke. You just encouraged me to sign up for gun classes on here a few weeks back…and I did mama for my birthday. I been asking about where is Sugarfoot for WEEKS. Tyesha I cannot believe this. All of May I asked. I promise I dont want to believe it and want to think they got your screen name mixed up with someone else here…but two separate former regulars say its true. Sleep in peace boo.”

Sugarfoot, affectionately called Sugar, was a constant source of laughter and offered a fresh perspective whenever we needed it. The last time that I replied to one of her post was on April 27, 2023. Sadly, just two days later, she passed away. SMH
It’s truly unfathomable. It feels like they were both just with us.”
