Beyonce has apparently cut off fellow pop singer Lizzo. According to concertgoers, Beyonce left Lizzo’s name out of her song, “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” on Tuesday night.
The “Renaissance” singer seemingly put some distance between herself and Lizzo after three dancers filed a lawsuit accusing the “Juice” singer of sexual harassment and fat-shaming.
The dancers claim Lizzo took them to a club in the Red Light District in Amsterdam, where they were forced to touch female body parts and eat bananas dipped in bodily fluids.
While singing “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” at her concert stop in Foxborough, Mass., Beyonce repeated “Badu” instead of Lizzo’s name.
In a video uploaded to Twitter, Beyonce sings, “Betty Davis, Solange Knowles. Badu, Badu, Badu, Badu.”
The song’s lyrics originally read: “Betty Davis, Solange Knowles, Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl’ (You know you can do it).”
Twitter users praised Beyonce for taking a stand against abusive women.
“Beyoncé reiterating Badu and skipping Lizzo… that’s on hitting 2 birds with 1 stone,” the fan tweeted. The tweet referenced singer Erykah Badu who recently accused Beyonce of stealing her tour looks by wearing an oversized top hat.
