Col Leray isn’t giving up after fans snubbed her sophomore album Coi, which peaked at No. 102 on the Billboard 200 chart in June.
The 16-track album featured collaborations with David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, Skillibeng, and the late James Brown.
The album’s lead off singles “Players,” “Bops,” “My Body,” and “Run It Up” failed to impress music consumers.
Coi vented her frustration in a Twitter/X post that quoted her album’s streams on Spotify.
“This why idgaf wat nun of y’all haten ass weirdos have to say about me,” she wrote. “F*ck a validation ! I ain’t NEVER gonna stop having fun with this sh*t . Ever. Thanks to all my supporters. Amazing albums.”
Two months later, Coi decided to drop more new music for her picky fans.
On Sunday, Coi took to the stage during Detroit’s Afro Nation festival to announce her new EP. Later, she shared images from Day 1 of the festival.
“This EP is for all the unapologetic, carefree, self-love, doing what makes YOU HAPPY type of b**ches,” she wrote in the caption. “FIVE SONGS LOADING.”
