A female trucker and TikTok influencer who was detained in Dubai for yelling at a Muslim man in public was allowed to return to the United States.
Tierra Young Allen, of Houston, departed the United Arab Emirates on a plane on Tuesday, a family spokesperson confirmed.
Allen, 29, was allowed to leave the UAE after she paid a deposit of $1,350 to the Dubai police, her spokesperson Radha Stirling said Tuesday.
Stirling previously said Allen was charged for raising her voice at a male employee at a car rental agency.
Allen, known as the “Sassy Trucker” on TikTok, was in Dubai on vacation with a girlfriend.
They got into a fender bender in a rental car after arriving in the UAE in April. The car was towed with Allen’s personal belongings — her ID, wallet and other items — inside.

Allen returned to the rental car agency days later to pick up her belongings, but she was told she had to pay a large sum of money in exchange for her things.
Allen and a male employee got into an argument and the police were called. Allen was charged for yelling obscenities at a man in public.
The UAE has strict regulations regarding women raising their voices in public. It is expressly forbidden for a woman to yell at a man.
“They started intimidating her and following her out. So she shouted back at them to stop, to leave her alone,” Stirling stated.
Stirling said Allen believes the men targeted her because she is American.
The male employee has filed a civil case against Allen seeking $10,000 USD in damages, according to reports. Allen may have to return to Dubai if a court hearing is set.
